Bree put her water bottle under the faucet, but she only filled it halfway. She had to conserve the water, after all. California was in a nasty drought. For so long she had taken shorter showers, turned off the water when she brushed her teeth, and even given up water gun fights with her brothers.
“Wait!” she suddenly yelled. She jumped up in realization and water cascaded over her hand. “We’re on a bionic island in the middle of the ocean! Not in California! We don’t have to save water anymore!”
Bree filled up her water bottle all the way.
